Kim Young Kwang Negative For COVID-19 Following Staff's Positive Test
South Korean actor Kim Young Kwang has tested negative for COVID-19. This is after one staff from their upcoming 'Hello? It's Me' drama caught the virus and tested positive for it. The news made the fans feel relieved.
On October 26, Monday, Kim Young Kwang's staff for his upcoming drama project contracted the virus and tested positive for it. The shooting for the film was promptly canceled until further notice.
Those people involved with close contact with the COVID positive staff were immediately sent to undergo COVID testing and quarantine. The project's managing label StoryRhyme put up an official press statement following the scrapped shoot and the unprecedented event.
In their official statement, StoryRhyme confirmed that the staff was factually COVID-19 positive after showing signs and was verified by the COVID-19 test. The managing agency informed fans and the public about the ongoing situation following the halt of the shooting.
According to quarantine authorities, they are directed to stop shooting until further notice and have the people who came in close contact with the COVID-19 positive to undergo screening and testing.
Today, October 27, StoryRhyme gladly shared the news that those who had close contact with the staff who is positive for the virus got their COVID-19 tests negative. This includes the actor Kim Young Kwang.
Regarding the filming schedule, StoryRhyme concluded that they will resume shooting once everything is settled, as they are still following regulations and directives from the medical quarantine authorities. They will inform the public soon once they can go back to filming again.
The agency asked for the public's understanding of the unseen turn of events that had happened in the set of 'Hello? It's Me!'. Kim Young Kwang's fans are relieved to learn that he had tested negative and sending him well wishes to continue having good health until he gets back to work once more.
'Hello? It's Me' is a fantasy, rom-com themed Korean Drama series set to air in January 2021, where the story revolves around a 37-year-old woman being consoled by her younger self. Kim Young Kwang is set to appear in the drama with the main character role.
