Na Hoon Ah Surpasses BTS In October’s Singer Brand Reputation Rankings
A veteran and legendary trot singer Na Hoon Ah surpassed BTS in the singers’ brand reputation ranking this month of October.
Following the data from September 24 through October 24, 2020, the Korean Brand Research Institute dropped its brand reputation rankings for Korean singers (includes soloists and groups) this month.
They analyzed data in consumer participation index, media activity, communication index, community reception index, and more of 50 singers. It will show which artist is loved by consumers and is used to analyze consumer behaviors as well. The data they analyzed increased from last month by 32.71%, with September having 127, 384, 784.
Trot singer Na Hoon Ah took this month’s first place. He gained a brand reputation index of 17,027,294, which surpassed BTS by 328,620 points. It is the first time Na Hoon Ah on the list and debuted as number one on rankings. With a brand participation index of 6,257,989, a media index of 3,391,753, a communication index of 33,532,997, and a community activity of 3,844,555.
Second place goes to BTS, the “Princes of Pop” (RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, V, Jimin, and Jungkook) with a brand reputation index of 16, 698,674: brand participation index of 4,068,836, media index of 4,207,060, communication index of 4,063,060, and a community index of 4, 359,718. Their brand reputation index fell by 29.95% compared to last month, September.
Third in rank goes to trot singer Lim Young Woong with a brand reputation index of 12,663,664. He has a brand participation index of 5,017,027, a communication activity of 2,808,942, a media index of 1,882,503, and a community reception index of 2,955,192. Their points rose by 21.30% compared to their September brand reputation index.
BLACKPINK ranked fourth place. The girl group (Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa) has a brand reputation index of 11,470,474 with a media index of 1,980,892, a brand participation index 2,531,274, a community reception index of 3,598,652, and a communication index of 3,629,656. Their brand reputation index rose by 22.8% compared to last month.
Fifth place goes to NCT (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Ten, Doyoung, Winwin, Jaehyun, Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin, Lucas, Jisung, Jungwoo, Kun, Xiaojun, Yangyang, Shotaro, Hendery, And Sungchan). They earned a brand reputation index of 10,816,826 with a brand participation index of 2,576191, a communication index of 3,401,660, a media index of 1,739213, and a community index of 3,099,763. It is their first time to appear on rankings as the SM Entertainment boy group.
