Lee Min Ho Will be Back In The Small Screen Very Soon
In the middle of the fans' anticipation for the comeback of Lee Min Ho, here is an announcement from Allkpop that the actor is gearing for a new project. According to the news portal, Lee Min Ho taking a new drama lead role has already been roped. It has also been announced from another source that the actor is in positive talks regarding the offering.
As of this time, the actor's agency, MYM Entertainment, has yet to announce the new project's status.
The Story Of 'Panchiko'
Per Pinkvilla, the drama is penned by Korean-American writer Min Jin Lee, and it is based on a book with the same title. The story revolves around Koreans living in Japan who face stereotypes and racism in the country. And the book was published in 2017.
Furthermore, in 2017, the book was featured in the list of 10 Best Books of 2017 by The New York Times. And in 2019, former US President Barack Obama recommended the book to avid readers.
Obama shared on his Facebook account way back then that Min Jin Lee's novel takes the readers through four generations. Each character's search for identity and success. And it's a powerful story about resilience and compassion.
The drama is reported to be divided into eight episodes and will be airing on AppleTV+.
