OCN's Search and tvN's Start-Up kicked-off on the small screens with flying colors!

OCN's new drama, Search, premiered at the top of its time slot. The drama is a new mystery thriller that stars f(x) 's Krystal and Jang Dong Yoon as soldiers in the demilitarized zone (DMZ).

As reported by Nielsen Korea, Search's first episode scored an average nationwide rating of 2.6 percent. It also peaked at a score of 3.2 percent, which draws a significantly higher number of viewers than its predecessor Missing: The Other Side. The latter previously occupied its time slot, and it premiered to an average rating of 1.7 percent.

Ages 25 to 49 are among the key demographic of viewers. An average nationwide rating of 2.2 percent and a peak of 2.7 percent was recorded on the premiere of the drama Search. The said digits made the drama take the first place in its time slot across all cable channels.

Furthermore, the drama Start-Up of tvN scored an average nationwide rating of 4.4 percent and a peak of 5.0 percent for its premiere. The new drama is the South Korean version of Silicon Valley. It stars Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk as dreamers chasing success. An average nationwide rating of 2.9 percent and a peak of 3.3 percent was recorded in the drama. And ages 20 to 49 are among the key demographic of viewers.

Meanwhile, Lie After Lie, Channel A's hit drama, continued to make history for the network. Lie After Lie remained No. 1 in its time slot across all cable channels. The suspense-romance drama's latest episode returned to its all-time high of 5.8 percent nationwide. This set a record for the highest viewership ratings achieved by any drama in Channel A history.

Also, in the Seoul metropolitan area, Lie After Lie performed even better. With an average of 6.5 percent, it broke its record for the highest drama ratings in Channel A history.

The romance drama of JTBC, More Than Friends, also returned to its all-time high in viewership. A nationwide average of 1.6 percent was recorded with its sixth episode.

Moreover, in the public broadcast network realm, SBS's Alice scored average nationwide ratings of 6.1 percent and 8.6 percent for its two parts. While remaining, the most-watched drama of Saturday night is KBS 2TV's Homemade Love Story. It garnered average nationwide ratings of 20.7 percent and 25.2 percent.
