BLACKPINK Is Set To Be The Next Guest on ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
With the worldwide success of BLACKPINK’s “The Album,” the K-pop girl group is set to appear on various shows, including being the next guests of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
BLACKPINK will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on October 20, at 11:35 PM EST, and will perform its smash hit, “Lovesick Girls” virtually. The K-pop idols are the first girl group that will appear on the late-night show.
BLACKPINK’s first-ever televised U.S. appearance was on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on February 12, 2019, where they performed their single “DDU-DU-DDU-DU” at that time.
BLACKPINK is the second K-pop girl group to perform on a U.S.-based late-night talk show, before which David Letterman invited Girls Generation to perform their single “The Boys” in 2012 on the said show.
This was also the time that BLACKPINK was a guest in “Good Morning America,” where they performed “DDU-DU-DDU-DU” live from the Times Square Studio.
Besides that, BLACKPINK will also be meeting BLINKs on the video platform TikTok, after the girl group’s success with their full-length album, “The Album.” YG Entertainment confirmed that the K-pop idols would be connecting with fans worldwide on the video platform and will be performing their singles.
BLACKPINK’s agency stated that the purpose of this event is to have the members grow closer to their fans as the girl group is known to have a strong connection to their BLINKs.
The event titled “TikTok Stage with BLACKPINK” will feature behind-the-scenes stories of “The Album” along with a video call from winners of the pre-event. The TikTok virtual concert will be held on October 21, 2020, at 7 PM KST.
In other related news, “Stranger Things” actor Finn Wolfhard shows his love for BLACKPINK as the actor posted on his social media to show off his autographed copy of BLACKPINK’s new album, “The Album” on October 15 local time.
In addition to this, the “Stanger Things” star also showcased his BLACKPINK-themed Monopoly game board with the caption “Friday night is secure.” Then, Finn Wolfhard tagged all the BLACKPINK members in his final photo, along with a caption; “Congrats on your Netflix doc!!”
