MONSTA X's Shownu joins Lee Seung Chul, Jessi, and Soyou for the judges' lineup for Mnet's audition program CAP-TEEN!
The New Mnet 'Search' Show
CAP-TEEN is Mnet's new show that's searching for the next teen K-pop star. The show also invites the contestants' parents to receive direct feedback from the judges' panel.
On October 7, it was announced by the broadcast special that Shownu would be joining the teen audition program as a judge. According to Allkpop, Mnet's CAP-TEEN is the first audition program in Korea for teens in which their parents will be appearing on the show with them.
with Shownu working with his senior artists for the show, he expressed that the music of Lee Seung Chul, which he has been listening to ever since he was little, is one of the things that's helped him get to where he is right now. "The fact that I get to be a judge alongside him is still surprising and nerve-racking to me."
The idol continued saying that he thinks about how he started his own trainee life back when he was in his teens when he sees the contestants. And being a judge for the first time, he said that he would be working hard to teach the teenage contestants and their parents everything he learned along his journey.
Shownu Introduced
Lee Seung Chul, Jessi, and Soyou, in the new video, we're joined by the fourth and final judge Shownu. The idol was first introduced through a pre-debut clip that he dances to Rain's "Rainism."
The judges check out videos of the contestants' skills. Later on, Jessi jokingly passes on critiquing the youngest contestants, the dancing, and rap to Shownu. Jessi called him because he is the closest in age to the teenage contestants.
