Kim Yoo Jung Is In Discussion For A New Role For An Upcoming Historical Fantasy Drama
Kim Yoo Jung, on October 5, was reported to be reuniting with Ahn Hyo Seop for an upcoming SBS drama “Hong Chun Gi” (working title)!
The actress’ agency, Awesome ENT, responded to the report saying that Kim Yoo Jung has received an offer to star in ‘Hong Chun Gi’ and is reviewing the proposal.
Drama Overview And Offered Roles
“Hong Chun Gi” is a fantasy romance drama based on a novel of the same name written by Jung Eun Gwol, who also wrote the original stories for “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” occurred in the Joseon era.
If Kim Yoo Jung is taking the role, she will be playing as Hong Chun Gi, Joseon’s only female painter with shining beauty and bright energy. The character also possesses an extraordinary memory.
Also, in talks to take the male leads character is Ahn Hyo Seop. The two actors previously met for “Clean with Passion for Now,” but because of scheduling conflicts after the drama postponed production, Ahn Hyo Seop eventually had to withdraw.
“Hong Chun Gi” will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo, who helmed “My Love From the Star” and “Hyena.”
Kim Yoo Jung Joining Awesome ENT
Recently Kim Yoo Jung signed an exclusive contract with Awesome ENT.
According to the CEO of the agency, Yang Geun Hwan, Kim Yoo Jung is an unparalleled representative of actors in their 20s who superbly expresses diverse emotions. She added that based on the trust they have built up over time, they would be reliable supporters and partners to continue Kim Yoo Jung’s activities more actively outside Korea.
Under the umbrella of Awesome ENT are actors including Park Seo Joon, Han Ji Hye, Lee Hyun Woo, Girl’s Day’s Yura, Bae Hyun Sung, Kim Do Wan, and more.
And currently, Kim Yoo Jung is in discussion with Awesome ENT whether to accept the offer or not.
