BTS Makes Bit Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si Hyuk Cry With Surprising News
BTS has been promoting ‘Dynamite” since its release, and it was recently revealed that the single has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the two consecutive weeks, making CEO Bang Si Hyuk cry.
On the last night of BTS week at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the boys performed “Mikrokosmos” at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of the five grand palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty in Seoul, South Korea in 1395.
After the performance, Billboard informed BTS that “Dynamite” has been number one for two consecutive weeks on the music chart. After that, the K-pop boy group called the one who banded them together and Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si Hyuk.
On the call, BTS excitedly informed the CEO, “we got first place,” to which Bang Si Hyuk replied, “yes, you got first place!” then the group laughs.
During the phone conversation, Suga pointed out that the BHE CEO maybe crying, while Jin stated: “send us a selfie of you crying.” V was emotional with the news saying, “can’t make out of what he’s saying. You’re going to make me cry too.”
Jimin revealed that BTS did cry a river last week after finding out that “Dynamite” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Bang Si Hyuk stated that “you don’t know how incredible this is,” to which the group replied that “we know, it’s incredible.”
Bang Si Hyuk replied, “that’s the kind of group you are; this just defies belief.” After that, RM replied with a thankful message saying, “it’s all thanks to you, knocking ‘em down all those years.”
Finally, BTS said that all of them should celebrate over dinner and reserve a date for it. Then, the BHE CEO responded with definite “Yes” to their request.
For the past seven years, Bang Si Hyuk has made a name for himself as he did bring out all the BTS members from different regions of South Korea and formed the group into what they are now.
In the meantime, BTS is getting ready for their first online concert titled “Map of Soul ON: E” on October 10, starting at 7 PM KST and October 11, beginning at 4 PM KST. ARMYs can purchase tickets at the Weverse Application to view the concert in 4K Resolution.
