BLACKPINK’s ‘The Album’ Off To A Good Start On Major Music Platforms
BLACKPINK's first full-length album, "The Album," has been racking good numbers in some of the industry's most prominent music media platforms - Spotify, iTunes, and Youtube.
According to recent publications, BLACKPINK's "The Album" is doing an impressive job on Spotify after debuting on October 2, 2020. To start, "Lovesick Girls" is currently at the number three spot today, behind on 24k Goldn and Iann Dior's track "Mood" and Cardi B and Megan the Stallion's single "WAP" at number one and two, respectively.
Moreover, the Cardi B collaboration single "Bet You Wanna" debuted at number four on the Top 25's most-streamed singles on the music platform, while "Pretty Savage" took the number eight spot. "Ice Cream" is also one place behind at the list, landing on the number ten spot, while "Crazy For You," "Love To Hate Me," and "How You Like That" are at 17, 18, and 19 spots, respectively.
In addition, "You Never Know" is now at the number 25 spot, which is not a bad ranking for an album debut. BLACKPINK has managed to take all songs of "The Album" at the top 25 list on Spotify.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is also dominating the iTunes charts worldwide with their full-length album, reaching number one in 57 regions.
According to YG Entertainment, as of October 3, 7 AM KST, "The Album" has been on the number one spot on iTunes Top Albums in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and more.
Other than that, BLACKPINK's music video for "Lovesick Girls" managed to have 50 million views in less than 18 hours upon release. Also, the K-pop girl group's official Youtube Channel gained 500,00 new subscribers after the release of "The Album," reaching 50 million subscribers.
In the meantime, BLINKs can catch BLACKPINK on Youtube Original web series titled "Released" as part of the new project, the music media platform, to promote the music industry's biggest names.
