2020 E! People’s Choice Awards Releases List Of Nominees, Includes BTS And BLACKPINK
2020 E! People's Choice Awards' list of nominees is now released!
On October 1, local time, the announcement took place regarding the list of nominees for the 2020 E! People's Choice Awards. By gathering the votes by the general public to determine all the awards. BTS attained four nominations while BLACKPINK took two nominations.
The general public nominated BTS and BLACKPINK in The Group of 2020 category and five other groups such as Chloe X Halle, Seconds of Summer, CNCO, Jonas Brothers, Dan + Shay, and Twenty One Pilots.
"Dynamite" of BTS received a nomination for The Song of 2020. Alongside with BTS, nominees included were Dua Lipa's "Break My Heart," Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain on Me," and Justin Bieber's "Intentions." Another fellow nominees include DaBaby's "Rockstar" featuring Roddy Rich, Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage," Cardi B's "WAP" which features Megan Thee Stallion, and Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's "Stuck With U."
Another entry for BTS is their "Map of the Soul:7," which is also running for The Album of 2020 category. This category also includes nominees like The Weeknd's "After Hours," Lady Gaga's "Chromatica," Justin Bieber's "Changes," Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia," Taylor Swift's "Folklore," Bad Bunny's "THLQMDLG," and Future's "High Off Life."
In the category of The Music Video of 2020 award nominees include BTS's "Dynamite," BLACKPINK, and Selena Gomez's "Ice Cream," Justin Bieber's "Holy" featuring Chance the Rapper, The Weeknd's "Blinding Light," Future's "Life Is Good" featuring Drake. J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, and Bad Bunny's "Un Dia (One Day)" featuring Tainy, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me," and Cardi B's "WAP" featuring Megan Thee Stallion were nominees also included in The Music Video for 2020 category.
From the previous 2018 E! People's Choice Awards, BTS wrapped up four awards, and BLACKPINK got three trophies from the 2019 awards ceremony.
This year's annual awards will soon to air live on November 15 at 9 p.m. from the Barker Hangar located in Santa Monica, California.
