Block B's Park Kyung Publicly Admits To Allegations Thrown At Him Online
Block B's Park Kyung made a startling announcement on his private Instagram account on 29 September 2020.
He has publicly confessed to the allegations because of profiles made on virtual forums by his former fellow peers. He started by revealing that he had been the victim of bullying in his younger days.
The bullying eventually led to him making friends with the wrong kind of people. He ended up hanging out with "troublemakers" as he wanted to protect himself, realizing that it gave him some security.
This culminated in the abuser becoming him rather than the oppressed. He revealed that he hated his 'good image' before.
Park Kyung wanted to be the apple of the eye and decided to befriend the troublemaker ones, which resulted in him adapting their destructive behaviors.
Park Kyung apologized for his behavior and lack of maturity in the past and recognized that there could be no excuse for the wounds he inflicted on his friends.
"I am profoundly troubled by my immature teenage puberty days. Up until now, I have been preoccupied, but I realize these are reminders that all those who are negatively impacted and hurt by me will be unable to forget. I know these wounds are not going to be justified." (via Koreaboo)
He concluded his public apology letter by asking to directly contact him or his managing label to request those people he hurt for their forgiveness formally.
Moreover, Park Kyung tried to escalate this situation worse because people will see this public apology or think of him as someone who is faking actions, making him extremely worried. But the idol insisted on seeing people he has hurt before and personally write his apology rather than having his letter published through his company.
