Suzy Talks About Her Thoughts On Her New Upcoming Drama 'Start-Up'
Bae Suzy talks about her thought on her new upcoming drama, "Start-Up."
Suzy takes the lead role in the upcoming drama "Start-Up." It tells the story of different people in the world of startup companies. It is set in South Korea's fictional Silicon Valley called Sandbox.
Suzy plays the character of Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of being the next Korean Steve Jobs. Nam Joo Hyuk as Nam Do Sam, the founder of Samsan Tech. Kim Seon Ho as Han Ji Pyung. He is a team leader at Venture Capital. Lastly, Kang Han Na as Won In Jae, a CEO and a second-generation chaebol.
The actress also shared the reason why she decided to join the cast. She stated that startups' whole concept attracted her since it is fresh and new compared to other drama.
She added that she was moved by the story of the young people who are a little bit clumsy, and they instead focus on the pressure for success. It makes the act of "taking the challenge" look mesmerizing for the characters that face things head-on, fall, and rise back up.
Mainly, she chose to be in the drama because it focuses on the world of startups. Suzy commented that she had no idea that startup projects and companies were so integrated with every life. She found the story exciting because it is about the business that she considered to get a start.
The actress prepares for the role of Seo Dal Mi. Since Suzy does not know a lot about business, she got information about the startup from books and research. She watched interviews of young CEO's and Suzy prepared like Seo Dal Mi in the drama as she studied.
The actress continued that the color os Seo Dal Mi's youth is similar to red as she is passionate, intense, and reckless. Suzy thinks that she is someone with a lot of energy. (Via Soompi)
