Rosé of BLACKPINK becomes the new face of 'Yves Saint Laurent' in the global market!
BLACKPINK has increased its popularity across the globe as time goes by. With every release of new albums and tracks, the four-member girl group continues to soar with its captivating uniqueness translated into their music.
From collaborating with the award-winning Lady Gaga with "Sour Candy" to reshaping the music industry with "How You Like That" and breaking several world records all in one go, It's no surprise that its massive influence has gone through continents.
On June 29, the New Zealand-born member- Rosé was chosen by the French luxury fashion house 'Yves Saint Laurent' to be its global ambassador.
According to Wmagazine, YSL and Vararello have long been interested in BLACKPINK's Rose. In September 2019, Rose made her debut in Paris Fashion Week that rocked fans to their core.
Her presence in the said fashion week drew many people in the vast area of the venue and became a buzz in social media.
The Korean photographer, Kim Hee June, took the main vocalist of BLACKPINK to Saint Laurent Rive Droite for an exclusive photoshoot featuring the Spring 2020 collection. The photoshoot collaborated with Saint Laurent itself, according to L'Officiel.
After several appearances, Rosé took over YSL as its global ambassador!
"I still can't believe that I'm a global ambassador, representing a brand that I've thought was cool for a long time," the singer told Elle Korea according to a fan site. "It's an honor. I also got close to creative director Antony Vaccarello, and I'm learning a lot from his creativity, expertise, and humanity. It's amazing to be able to work with such a wonderful person."
In a photoshoot by the legendary photographer David Sims, Rosé wears a black lace mini dress from creative director Anthony Vacarello's fall 2020 collection. The photoshoot is for the black and White campaign of the brand, according to Wmagazine.
In the aim to spread presence in Southeast Asia, many brands have made partnerships with Kpop stars. Other BLACKPINK members are also booked with Celine (Lisa), Chanel Beauty (Jenny), and Dior Beauty (Jisoo).
