Hwang Jung Eum Leaps Through Time In Upcoming Drama 'Men Are Men'
Hwang Jung Eum is set to star in another romantic comedy-drama, taking her place once again as the rom-com queen of Korea!
The actress has recently concluded her role as 'Wolju' in the Netflix series 'Pop-up Mystic Bar,' it seems she is on a roll as she takes on another fantasy drama project.
Hwang Jung Eum will play another leading role in the drama 'Men are Men,' starring alongside Yoon Hyun Min and Seo Ji Hoon.
According to Asianwiki, the drama tells the story of Seo Hyun-Joo (Hwang Jung Eum), who works as the leader of a webcomic planning team. She declares that she plans to remain single (non-marriage), but conflict ensues when she receives confessions from two men interested in her: Hwang Ji-Woo (Yoon Hyun Min) and Park Do-Gyeom (Seo Ji Hoon).
Hwang Ji Woo is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company. He has a cold personality and excellent business ability, while Park Do Gyeom is a young famous webtoon artist and is known to be is a friendly person. He and Seo Hyun-Joo grew up like siblings, but he has held a crush on Seo Hyun-Joo for a long time.
On June 17, KBS released the official teaser for the upcoming series. The short teaser video revealed that the three main leads had known each other in their past lives as Hwang Jung Eum stares at the mirror while a scene of her past self was shown.
The leading men Yoon Hyun Min and Seo Ji Hoon have previously worked together in the drama 'Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter' as the heroine Moon Chae Won's love interests.
In the said drama, Seo Ji Hoon's character ended up with Moon Chae Won's, something the viewers did not expect. Fans who have seen 'Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter' are rooting for Yoon Hyun Min's character in 'Men are Men' to end up with the main female lead this time around.
Will Hwang Jung Eum choose the cold CEO, or will she want her longtime friend? Or yet, will she choose herself?
