JYP Entertainment Updates Fans On Legal Action Battle For TWICE
TWICE's managing label JYP Entertainment finally updates the public and its fans about the girl group's legal battle.
JYP Entertainment released a statement saying they have already started legal suites multiple times against misleading pieces of information and controversies surrounding TWICE. All of these issues that could affect TWICE and JYP Entertainment's reputation are being transferred and handled by a professional law firm.
JYP Entertainment then pertains to the individuals who posted misleading and derogatory remarks about TWICE, currently being fined for 11 million won in total. These unacceptable actions are under the violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Aside from these monetary penalties, one of these individuals had been arrested last year for the same act and continued to persuade people online with wrongful information and accusations. JYP Entertainment strongly conveyed that they are taking each report with serious actions and are analyzing allegations with facts.
If proven wrong, they are ready to fight the case with the highest level of legal action. JYP Entertainment warned all malicious commenters that they are 24/7 monitoring online communities posting reputation wrecking remarks against their artists.
"All words and deeds have the latent to cause significant damage to one's reputation as an Individual, also an artist's personal views and psychological being. We are fully aware of how dangerous these vile actions are, as we have seen many victims of such actions in the Industry." - JYP Ent. (via Soompi)
JYP Entertainment concluded its statement by thanking the fans for their undying love and support. They will do appropriate measures to protect their artists' mental and physical health. The managing label shared in June that they are undergoing legal action on behalf of the nine-membered band.
