Upcoming Movie ‘Voice of Silence’ Challenges Yoo Ah In With A Role Who Does Not Speak
Yoo Ah In to star in a new movie that challenges him for a new kind of acting. He appears in another big-screen project after his recent global success of the film "Alive."
The upcoming movie "Voice of Silence" is a crime drama written and directed by Hong Eui-Jeong. It tells the story of Tae-in (played by Yoo Ah In), who works as a clean-up crew cleaning up crime scenes and disposing of corpses for an organized crime syndicate. Alongside him is actor Yoo Jae-Myung, who plays the role of Chang-bok, whose personality is the exact opposite of Tae-in's. He also does dirty works like disposing of corpses.
Yoo Ah In shared some of his perspectives about how he portrayed the role in the recent press conference. He commented that playing his character without any lines to speak was easy yet challenging. His movie's character makes some noise in the film, so Yoo thought he could talk. Due to the situations that happened to him in the past, he forbid himself from communicating with the world.

"Voice of Silence" movie is set to be director Hong Eui-Jeong's debut full-length movie.
Yoo Ah In and film director Hong talked enthusiastically talked about Yoo's peculiar character in the film.
According to Yoo, the director sent him a link as a guide for the character because she thought Tae-in would move alike. As he opened the, it was a video clip of a gorilla. He then said it was exciting, and for sure, it was a new approach way of the character.
Crime Movie's New Take
Director Hong expressed her sentiments about the two contrasting characters as she implied that both still have the sensibilities to discern their acts while engaged in criminal work.
The plot development highlighted on both characters is in place to take care of a girl who becomes a kidnap victim of a crime syndicate member. Suddenly, the girl died.
Director Hong preferred to use bright hues for the film rather than those typical crime movies in tragic and dark-shaded scenes. The movie transcends from being a fictional work allowing the viewers to contemplate the thin line between good and evil.
Lastly, Yoo Ah In shared his reflection about the movie "Voice of Silence" on how it mirrors people's reality presently live. He emphasized that people live in a world that continually judges what is right and evil at the end of the day.
