K-drama lovers have always seen their favorite actors nailing in making the viewers fall in love over and over again. With their charming gestures and heart-fluttering looks, they never fail to make the viewers go "aww" whenever they meet their opposite on the small screen.
But an equally heart-stopping feeling of seeing idols meet their true love for the first time is when they play a loving dad in the drama. These actors, precisely, executing tremendous versatility as they impressively portray "good dads" in dramas and films despite being single in real life.
Here's a look of our favorite characters as they capture our hearts proving that they are father material.
Gong Yoo
Gong Yoo is a bachelor with a warm visual and great personality. Despite being single, the actor has splendidly played numerous roles being a father in a drama or even being surrounded by children. He's one perfect candidate for the best daddy material.
In the movie "Kim Ji Young: Born 1982" (2019), Gong Yoo acted as a loving father in his role as Jung Dae Hyun to his daughter, played by Ryu Ayoung. Gong Yoo has been loved even more after he posted pictures of the baby through his SNS.
Also, Gong Yoo played the role of a father who saved his child from his last breath in the movie "Train To Busan" (2016).
Kang Dong Won
Kang Dong Won's first stint as a father in a role is in the movie "My Brilliant Life" (2014) with Song Hye Kyo. The film tells a heartwarming story of a child suffering from congenital progeria (gets old faster than others).
The actor revealed that he had struggled with releasing emotions, being a father, especially when he is still single, and the character he is portraying required deep connections. But being able to admit his difficulty performing the role, viewers have seen a brilliant performance coming from him and even complimented him for exemplary performance.
Lee Dong Wook
Lee Dong Wook has excellent visuals that most women fell for in an instant. What's more, when he's a good dad to his child onscreen?
Lee Dong Wook, in the drama "The Fugitive of Joseon" (2013), played a doting father. He is a physician by profession, but after being plotted to kill the crown prince, he becomes a fugitive. He developed great determination to save his ill daughter and to live a peaceful life.
So Ji Sub
The good-looking So Ji Sub is known for his good looks and masculine persona. But in his very manly personality, he pulled off a heartwarming father character in the movie "Be With You" (2018).
The actor's warm chemistry with Kim Ji Hwan (played as his son), and with co-star Son Ye Jin, makes the viewers unable to contain their happiness and admiration for his talent.
Kim Ji Seok
Kim Ji Seok has excellent looks and solid acting ability. The actor in the award-winning drama "When Camellia Blooms" (2019), transformed into a father
Kim Ji Seok played the role of a father to Kim Kang Hoon, though it was a challenge when he tried to get close with his son after being away with him.
