Choi Jin Hyuk Shares Life Of A Lonely Zombie Through Song In MV Teaser For 'Zombie Detective'
The upcoming Monday – Tuesday KBS 2TV drama “Zombie Detective released a new teaser starring Choi Jin Hyuk.
“Zombie Detective” is a story that tells the life of a zombie that is on his second year of unexpected resurrection. He works as a detective while searching for the truth about his past. Choi Jin Hyuk plays the role of Kim Moo Young, the zombie that works as a detective that also struggles to adapt in his current life and the life where he coexists with humans.
The newly released teaser in somehow in a format of a music video, and it featured clips of Choi Jin Hyuk singing “Mint Candy” of YB on the September 5 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Song.”
Along with the conveyed lyrics, it seems to deliver a message of sadness of having to live in a lonely existence as an undead zombie who completedly forgotten his memories. The teaser shows the pitiful life of a zombie.
Choi Jin Hyuk captivated the audiences as he sang, “I want to go back to those innocent times,” while reflecting Kim Moo Young’s longing for his past life.
Moreover, on his performance, scenes of Kim Moo Young overlaps where Kim Moo Young is running aimlessly through the forest on a night. It highlighted the complicated feelings of Kim Moo Young is experiencing on the inside after he is unexpectedly coming back to life.
Furthermore, another scene shows that Kim Moo Young is screaming in surprise in front of an animal's remains while Kim Moo Young is holding his bloodied hands. As Kim Moo Young suffers his condition alone and he is confused. He is portraying the tragic destiny of a zombie who can not even control his wild instincts. (Via Soompi)
