BTOB's Minhyuk To Star In A Historical Film Titled 'The Swordsman'
A special preview for the upcoming historical action film "The Swordsman" (literal title) has been released!
Per Soompi, the new drama stars BTOB's Minhyuk, Jang Hyuk, Jung Man Sik, and more. The new film also explores the stories of swordsmen in Joseon during the Ming-Qing transition period. Minhyuk will be making his big-screen debut as Kyeom Sa Bok, the king's bodyguard who fails to protect the king after being attacked by anti-government forces. Feeling guilty for his inability to save the king and perform his duty, he turns his back on the world.
A video of Minhyuk's action scenes was revealed on September 15. Kyeom Sa Bok, in the clip, asks Min Seung Ho (played by Jung Min Sik), "A warrior like you can only do this much?" Then the clip shows off the fighting skills of Minhyuk as his character faces off against Min Seung Ho. The preview about Minhyuk's character ended congratulating him on his discharge from the military.
Moreover, the Director of the drama, Choi Jae Hoon, had nothing but praise for Minhyuk. He expressed that Minhyuk is a great actor who has a strong impact that fills the frame with useful facial expressions and gazes when he appears onscreen.

Minhyuk's Military Discharge
BTOB's Minhyuk has officially been discharged from the military on September 12. According to Cube Entertainment, on September 9, Minhyuk had taken his last vacation as a conscripted policeman, and as he will be discharged in the service, all COVID-19 regulations will be followed.
The BTOB member was enlisted in the military in February of last year. He is the third member of BTOB to be enrolled in the military after Eunkwang and Changsub.

BtoB is an acronym for Born to Beat, formed by Cube Entertainment in 2012. Aside from Lee Min Hyuk, the group consists of Seo Eun Kwang, Lee Chang Sub, Im Hyun Sik, Peniel Shin, Jung Il Hoon, and Yook Sung Jae.
