Oh My Girl's YooA And Apink's Namjoo Talk About Solo Debut On SBS Power FM Radio Show
On September 13, the SBS Power FM radio show “Cultwo Show” had Oh My Girl’s YooA and Apink’s Namjoo as their guests.
YooA and Namjoo are both from the popular girl groups who just recently made their solo debuts. Apink’s Namjoo released her single “Bird,” written by (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon. Meanwhile, Oh My Girl's YooA released her solo album “Bon Voyage.”
Namjoo stated that the Apink members did a great job with their solo albums, which is why she did not feel any pressure or responsibility. Namjoo did what she wanted to do, which is to perform as a solo artist.
She is hoping that the people will see her in a different light from Apink. The members of the girl group showed her a lot of love and support throughout.
The singer also talked about her YouTube channel after YooA told her she was a big fan. Namjoo’s reveals that it has been in ages since she last checked on her YouTube account.
Her YouTube account is “Three Meals for Namjoo.” It does not have many subscribers yet, but she likes to have it back active again.
Similarly, YooA is currently acting as an alternative character to promote her solo album instead of her usual role in Oh My Girl. She is promoting the title track “Bon Voyage” that gives a feeling of being with nature.
The agency suggested YooA go on a solo, but she declined it at first. She said she started with Oh My Girl’s YooA, and she will stay as Oh My Girl’s YooA until the end.
Apparently, the agency has also prepared a song for her since the last year. However, she did not have an idea of what the agency was planning, so she refused the offer multiple times when asked if she wanted to go solo.
Meanwhile, the agency eventually persuaded her, and she ended up making her solo debut. (Via Soompi)
