New K-pop Groups Set To Debut Amidst The Fierce Competition
It’s always a delight when new K-pop groups are introduced in the industry. It means more options for fans to listen to a variety of songs and styles, more favorites to love for others.
However, timing is everything when it comes to debuting new groups. For the agencies of the following groups, the time is just right to have them debut during these months where the competition is strong with the senior groups having their comebacks and established solo artists joining in.
The listed groups are set to debut in the following weeks:
1. Weeekly
Weeekly is an upcoming seven-member girl group under Play M Entertainment. The Weeekly members are Lee Soojin, Shin Jiyoon, Monday, Park Soeun, Lee Jaehee, Jihan , and Zoa. Weeekly will be Play M Entertainment's first girl group in 10 years since A Pink.
On June 16, Play M Entertainment released a concept trailer for the upcoming album.
The girls will be making their debut on June 30, 2020, with their first mini-album We Are. On the same day of their debut, CIX will also be returning with their third extended play ‘Chapter 3. Hello, Strange Time,’ while UP10TION's Lee JinHyuk (Wei) will also be releasing his second solo album.
2. BXK / BOYS X KING
BXK / BOYS X KING is a 6 member boy group under New Planet Entertainment. The group consists of June, Chanseung, Inu, Kitae, Donghwan , and Teen.
Specific details about their debut have not been announced yet. However, it was reported that they will be debuting in July. According to Kpopmap, it was said that their debut track is going to be hip-hop based song with medium pop genre. In addition, the boys had participated in the lyrics composition, rap making, and even the making of the choreography.
3. SSAK3
The members of this co-ed group are far from being rookies. They are actually veterans in the industry, more like icons than mere idols.
SSAK3 consists of Yoo Jae Suk, Rain, and Lee Hyori. The powerful trio is set to debut on July 18, 2020.
On June 20, the members shared concept photos on their personal Instagram account. The concept photos shared screamed ‘90s vibes, an obvious hint to their concept for their upcoming debut.
With debuts and comebacks mashing up together, it will be hard for the fans to choose a favorite. May the months pass by with friendly competitions at best!
