The upcoming film “Citizen Duk Hee,” the literal title, reveals its cast according to Showbox.

The film “Citizen Duk Hee” is a story of a typical citizen named Duk Hee. She is a scam victim, a voice phishing scam to be exact, and she went for a quest to look for the criminal by herself.

Voice phishing scam is a type of fraud in which people are asked about their personal and financial information. The scammers call them through their phone and pretend to be from a legitimate source. The upcoming film is based on a real story in which the citizen helps to get the voice phishing scammer and gets arrested.

Ra Mi Ran will play the character of Duk Hee, the citizen who has been scammed and lost thousands of won in the form of a voice phishing scam. Meanwhile, Gong Myung has been cast as Jae Min, the voice behind the phishing scam. Jae Min is also a member of the organization who decides to take all the risk and became the secret informant on Duk Hee’s side.

Moreover, Uhm Hye Ran will play Duk Hee’s close friend and colleague, Bong Rim. Meanwhile, a woman with the same personality as Duk Hee, who helped him track down the voice phishing scammer, is Sook Ja, played by Jang Yoon Joo.

Park Young Joo will be directing “Citizen Duk Hee,” which is also her first big film. She also directed some independent films like “Second Life” and “1 Kilogram,” which in the latter part, she was invited to Cinéfondation for the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

Meanwhile, catch Gong Myung on other films like “Melo Is My Nature,” is a 2019 South Korean film directed by Kim Hye Young and Lee Byeong Heon, where he plays the character of a new employee Chu Jae Hoon.
