BTS And Kim Na Heul Are Exemplary Awardees In The 47th Korean Broadcasting Awards
BTS and Kang Ha Neul wins big in the "47th Korean Broadcasting Awards."
According to Allkpop, the "Korean Broadcasting Awards," on September 2 revealed the winners for 2020. BTS bagged the "Best Artist Award" by a unanimous decision, and Kang Ha Neul took the "Best Actor Award" for his outstanding performance in the KBS drama "When the Camellia Blooms," which was also given the "Best Drama TV Award."
The association picked the winners from the 59 entries and unveiled the 19 winners for the individual awards and will be announcing more lists during the ceremony, aired on September 10 in MBC.
Furthermore, winning the "Entertainment Award" is creator Pengsoo for EBS 1TV "Giant Peng TV" while PD Kim Tae-ho took home the "Producer Award" for his direction with MBC's "How Do You Play."
KBS' "When The Camellia Blooms," also won three awards in selected categories. One of which is the "Best Drama TV Award," which was nearly grabbed by its close competitor, the drama "Stove League" during the selection process.
The "Best Actor Award" of Kang Ha Neul was also his second award for the drama "When The Camellia Blooms." It was earlier reported that the drama series also swept awards in the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards in June of this year, including the "Best Actor" (Kang Ha Neul) and "Best Drama."
Meanwhile, the worldwide phenomenon BTS who recently shook the world with its explosive "Dynamite" and topped the Billboard 100, won the "Best Artist Award." The septet is now holding the record of the first Korean act to rank first in the Billboard 100.
On September 10, the 47th Korean Broadcasting Awards will be holding its ceremony with no audience due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in South Korea. The association aims to inspire more networks to produce creative content that will give viewers excitement and valuable lessons. Also, it continues its task to provide recognition to broadcasters' efforts in their line of work.
