BLACKPINK Earns The 3rd Most Subscribed Artist Title On Youtube + Hints Collaboration With Cardi B
The BLACKPINK queens have surpassed the famous international singer Ed Sheeran as the third artist with the most significant number of subscribers on Youtube.
On August 29 (Saturday), the band’s home management and recording label, YG Entertainment, confirmed the milestone by saying that the number of subscribers on their artists’ official Youtube channel is now over 45.6 million kicking out Sheeran’s former record of over 45.1 Million.
The South Korean femme fatale’s new Youtube record sits after Canadian singer Justin Bieber and DJ Marshmello, who sits respectively at the first and second spots.
The new milestone achieved by the K-pop quartet is in heels time for the release of their collaboration track and music video with American pop superstar Selena Gomez. As per Kpopstarz, BLACKPINK’s new million subscribers always come after a new song release.
Furthermore, the newly launched record of the K-pop group and Gomez dominated various global charts like U.K.’s Official Singles Top 100 and U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
The team-up between the two artists sings of a song of its name, delivering refreshment and chill to its listeners. Upon the music video’s release on August 28, BLACKPINK’s Youtube subscribers climbed by about 100,000 per hour.
BLACKPINK X CARDI B
For the time being, the K-pop quartet, Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo, has allegedly collaborated with American female rapper and ‘WAP’ curator Cardi B.
The matter was quickly concluded by the BLINKS when YG Entertainment shared the pre-order package details for the band’s first full-length album. And the fans couldn’t help but spot B’s name on it. The agency posted an image sample of the CD titled ‘The Album.’
Eagled-eyed fans are alleging that B’s name is written in the lower left part of the CD, stating that the agency and the group purposely put on the rapper’s name to tease the fans. However, nothing of it is confirmed yet.
