BTS Jimin Catches Mariah Carey's Attention + Fans Demand A Collaboration
BTS undoubtedly lived up to its title as the world's most phenomenal K-pop group as more and more international artists are into the BTS culture. One of them is none other than the ultimate diva, Mariah Carey!
On August 26, one fan of the American singer tweeted on Twitter, saying that if anyone remembers when BTS Jimin promoted the song of Mariah Carey on V Live. The fans pertain to MC's track called 'Beautiful,' where the K-pop idol highlighted a piece of worthy listening music to his 3 million live broadcast viewers.
The fan also expressed that they love that another renowned artist listed himself as a certified LAMB: Carey's supporters' fandom name.
Furthermore, the ARMYS went on recalling the treasured moment on October 20, 2019, where the BTS' main vocalist played Carey's song on V Live after the fans requested him to do so. The short yet mesmerizing 'Beautiful' performance of Jimin led the fans to create and edited version of the video.
In many surprises of the LAMBs and ARMYs, the American songstress hit on the "like" button on the 'Serendipity' singer's video. Many were startled with much joy as they expressed their strongest desire for a team-up between Jimin and Carey.
One stunned fan commented, "I didn't even expect this to happen." Another LAMB said, "Mariah Carey likes it; I feel like I'm going to faint."
The BTS member is always recognized as the band's frontman, as he gains popularity around the world and to numerous celebrity personalities, artists, press staff, and music critics.
The incident mentioned above is not the first time where another famous personality noticed Jimin. In 2016, he was recognized by a renowned English choreographer Matthew Bourne. He drew much attention as the band's flaunted their extreme dance moves during the opening act of the SBS Music Awards in 2016.
