BLACKPINK's 'Ice Cream' Collaboration With Selena Gomez Instantly Earns 1.9 Million Streams
Another record-breaking track from the BLACKPINK queens!
The team-up of the South Korean femme fatale BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez, known as SelPink, delighted the fans a new summery track called 'Ice Cream.' Along with the release of the song, the music video was made known via Youtube.
Following the launch of 'How You Like That,' that is jampacked with eccentric choreographies, this time, the K-pop ladies captivates the summer season by melting the hearts of their beloved BLINKS with its cherry sweet music video.
Moreover, the said music video garnered more than 1.8 million streams on Youtube upon its release, Kpopstarz reported.
'Ice Cream' is categorized as a purposely pop song for the hot summer season, singing a piece of its name. It is a distinct track that puts in comparison the meaning of "It looks cold on the outside, but it's sweet on the surface.'
As per CGTN, YG Entertainment revealed that 'Ice Cream' is different from the song releases of BLACKPINK like 'Kills This Love' or 'How You Like That.' The K-pop group's two former songs have a more dynamic club beat while 'Ice Cream' is bubblier and lighter.
The sweet music video of the newly released track by SelPink is made more enlivening by props that deliver extreme cuteness, best matching the song. Additionally, BLACKPINK and Gomez's pink-colored costumes and bright hair colors highlight their intense charms in the music video.
On the other hand, the song kicks off with the American singer's part that sparks sophistication. 'Ice Cream' is sung mostly in English. Previously, the K-pop all-girl group shared their sentiment towards teaming up with Gomez by saying, "We are very satisfied with the work that was made by sharing musical synergy."
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to release their latest album entry that bottles up pre-released singles like 'How You Like That' and 'Ice Cream.'
