Neha Bhasin Reportedly Filed A Police Complaint Against BTS' ARMYs For Cyberbullying
Bollywood singer Neha Bhasin decided to file a police complaint against the fans of the South Korean band BTS, who call themselves ARMYs. The complaint contains the specific grievances of the Indian singer of offensive threats that she received. Also, Neha Bhasin accused the ARMYs of cyberbullying.
In a report by the Kpopstarz, referencing Pinkvilla, the singer submitted the FIR on August 26 to the Mumbai Police Cyber Crime department against the powerful fandom. In particular, the complaint says that the singer led to come up with the agitating decision due to bullying, r*pe posts, and abusive comments that involve her and her family.
On her personal Instagram account, Neha Bhasin uploaded some of the screenshots of some ARMYs expressing their disturbing comments towards the singer, and are asking her to apologize to BTS, because if she failed to do so, she would experience things beyond her thinking.
Furthermore, the Indian artist revealed that before filing the complaints, she told the fandom to stop bugging her, but it only went worse as each day goes by. The matter led her to take legal action for her safety, and also her family.
"There's a video circulating on YouTube where a young boy is openly threatening to r*pe me if I don't apologize," she wrote.
The social media commotion and said "bullying" by the ARMYs towards the Bollywood star started in 2019 when another Indian artist, Badshah, dropped a record titled 'Paagal." Reports find that the specific song kicked out the K-pop group's 'Boy With Luv' as the most viewed Youtube video within 24 hours.
To add, some ARMYs straightforwardly accused the rapper in faking the views, which Badshah responded that nothing of his video, nor the views, is fake.
Neha Bhasin came into action with a friend when he comforted the rapper on Twitter. ARMYs enraged, even more, when the singer posted the band's music video and accused them of lip-syncing.
