Girls' Generation's Tiffany Shares Reason Behind Departing Agency
Change can be pretty terrifying, but often we realize we have to grasp the reality of change if we want to pursue our hopes and aspirations. No one understands that deeper than Tiffany Young, who shared her insights in a Metro discussion.
Tiffany Young represented SM Entertainment at the age of 15 and started her career with Girls' Generation 4 years later. As a band, the girls have had to experience various facets of the entertainment industry and try out several new things, and those encounters forced her out of her comfort zone.
At the same time, she spent 11 years singing and enjoying every second of it as part of Girls' Generation. In the end, she decided to leave SM Entertainment to continue pursuing her solo career. Indeed, it was not an easy choice for her to make.
She said leaving SM Entertainment was one of the most anxious encounters. Tiffany expresses her gratefulness for what they had provided for her. She may have agreed to split ways with the firm, but not without considering the other ladies in Girls' Generation.
Tiffany reveals that she had asked for advice from her group before she decided to leave. And while making the daunting transition in pursuing her dreams, she wanted to ensure that SONEs understood how much she values them.
"Everything happened very quickly, but at the same time, I decided not to take the triumph of the decade away. To me, that's such a huge thing that I was getting ready to commemorate. Perhaps there would be a second or even third-century milestone, but I just preferred to continue enjoying what that meant for me and the girls and fans. We wanted to look back on all the beautiful music and recollections we had, no matter how we got there. I didn't want to take away from all that." (via Koreaboo)
Although some members already left SM Entertainment, Tiffany clarifies that Girls' Generation never disbanded. In the future, Tiffany Young may probably do some events with the other members.
In the meantime, she is set on the course of doing big as a solo artist. Tiffany has already released several singles and made an outstanding breakthrough with "Over My Skin" in the USA.
