Dreamcatcher has shown fantastic growth in terms of first-day sales as mini-album "Dystopia: Lose Myself" surpasses previous record sales.
Dreamcatcher has surpassed its previous record of first-day sales by a landslide of 20,000 sales. According to Hanteo, the metal girl group has accumulated 24,773 copies sold on the first day of release, compared to their previous record of just 4,000 copies sold.
Dreamcatcher also released their MV for their lead single "Boca" for the "Dystopia: Lose Myself" mini-album. The music video features the girls looking fierce and with their powerful voices that accentuate the MV's feel.
'Dystopia: Lose Myself' Highlights
In earlier reports, Dreamcatcher has been teasing their fans with their comeback mini-album "Dystopia: Lose Myself" for months, and so far, here are the things we know for their return in the music industry.
Dreamcatcher first hinted their comeback in a set of 'mystery codes' that shows images with scattered numbers for the album "Dystopia: Lose Myself." Dreamcatcher's company stated that the codes contain unique gifts for super fans as they wait for their comeback this year.
Moreover, Dreamcatcher follows the mystery code system as they did with the single "Chase Me" release back in February this year. The metal pop group's album, "Dystopia: Lose Myself," is still part of the "Dystopia" series.
Later on, Dreamcatcher shocks fans with an image containing schedules for the group on how and when they will release their 5th album. The image consists of dates for the teasers, the tracks' release, lyric spoilers, dance preview, and the much-awaited album release. The photo features elegant fonts for the writing with a beautiful frame sitting on a blue backdrop.
Dreamcatcher plans to tease their fans by releasing teaser photos today and will continue until August 6. On August 7, the Kpop idols will drop a tracklist followed up by a lyric spoiler. The highlight medley and dance preview will prepare the fans for the group's comeback album, scheduled to be released on August 17.
Although Dreamcatcher is a seven all-female group, they promoted their single "Scream" in February without member Handong since she was competing then on the Chinese survival show "Youth with You 2".
It was stated that the Dreamcatcher member could not return to Korea due to the COVID-19 pandemic that limits travel restrictions all over the world. However, Handong's agency reported that she is receiving training in Beijing before the group's comeback.
