Choi Jin Hyuk Shares Acquiring Similar Traits To His Zombie Character
Choi Jin Hyuk shares a glimpse of his new zombie character in the upcoming KBS 2TV drama "Zombie Detective."
Choi Jin Hyuk shares his thoughts on why he decided to join the drama and said that instead of acting in ways that he can always do, he wanted to show viewers a new side. (via Soompi)
The actor also described his new role and said that he thinks many people will have fun watching the drama because Kim Moo Young is a pleasant human zombie. "I think many people will have a good time watching the drama."
Furthermore, the actor shared that Kim Moo Young is not a one-dimensional character, but a smart zombie who thinks of ways to live alongside humans. Being different from other zombie characters, Kim Moo Young experiences human society's diversity as he spends time with human beings. After getting to feel a sense of affection, he also begins to understand them better.
Choi Jin Hyuk also expressed that he is similar to his character because they both carry responsibilities and have silly sides in them, especially when the zombie character, Kim Moo Young, tries to hide the truth that he's a zombie.
Choi Jin Hyuk also said that he paid a lot of attention to his looks to portray a handsome zombie who is cute, calm, and not disgusting to look at. The actor even revealed that he was applying one face mask a day lately.
The new thriller drama "Zombie Detective follows the story of a zombie who becomes a detective in his second year of resurrection and desperately searches for the truth about his past. Starring as Choi Jin Hyuk, Kim Moo Young will play as a titular zombie who struggles to adapt his new life and coexist with humans.
"Zombie Detective" will premiere on August 31, at 9:30 PM, KST.
