BTS's Jungkook Proves Global Pop Stardom, Solo Album Tops Charts in 77 Countries and Regions
BTS's Jungkook has once again proven his status as a "Global Pop Star."
Released at 1 PM KST on November 3 (KST), Jungkook's first solo album "GOLDEN" hit the number one spot on the "Top Albums" charts on iTunes in 77 countries/regions including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, and Japan by 9 AM the following morning. The album's lead single 'Standing Next to You' climbed to the top of the "Top Songs" charts on iTunes in 71 countries/regions, including Greece, Poland, and Qatar.
Moreover, Jungkook swept the top positions on both the "Worldwide iTunes" and "European iTunes" song and album charts. Notably, on the "Worldwide iTunes Song" and "European iTunes Song" charts, he managed to place all tracks from the album, including the solo singles "Seven (feat. Latto)" and "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)", into the top ranks, demonstrating his influence.
Upon its release, the title track "Standing Next to You" entered the Melon Realtime Chart "TOP100" at 7th place on the afternoon of November 3 and climbed to 4th place by midnight on November 4. Additionally, all ten tracks included in the new release charted on Melon's 'TOP100'. Intriguingly, BTS's hits 'Dynamite' and 'Spring Day' also surged up the rankings simultaneously.
The music video for "Standing Next to You" saw a rapid climb in popularity across various countries/regions, hitting the trending videos category immediately upon release, and directly soared to number one on YouTube's Worldwide Trending. Within just 18 hours, by the morning of November 4th, the music video surpassed 10 million views.
