Below is Sunny's full message:
Hello, this is Girls' Generation's Sunny.
On the 16th anniversary of Girls' Generation's debut, I have a message I'd like to share with heartfelt thanks.
Looking back, there are so many people I'm thankful for over the past 16 years.
My precious members, who are like another version of me, our beloved families, the steadfast staff who've been with me, and the fans whose mere presence has been a source of strength.
Today, I especially want to express my gratitude and regards to SM Entertainment, who played a significant role in helping 19-year-old Lee Soon-kyu debut as Girls' Generation's Sunny.
Thank you to all the managers and staff members who've been with me during these 16 years of my entertainment career, assisting me in delivering positive energy to many through various stages and content.
Debuting as "Girls' Generation" and meeting the members and "Sone" has made every day immeasurably happy.
I'm now gathering the courage to look at myself from a fresh perspective in a new environment. The consistent support from fans and the love and interest from many have been the reason. Regardless of what the future brings, I'll keep moving forward energetically.
I'll continue to be Sunny who shares good news frequently. Thank you.
