Aespa Wraps Up First Japan Tour, Preps for Tokyo Dome Concert in August
Trendy girl group 'Aespa' has successfully completed their first tour in Japan.
According to their agency SM Entertainment on May 1 (KST), Aespa finished their "Aespa Live Tour 2023 - SYNC: Hyper Line in Japan" on a high note, with performances in four Japanese cities including Osaka, Tokyo, Saitama, and Nagoya's Nippon Gaishi Hall from March until April 29-30.
Including their first solo concert in Seoul on February 25-26, all ten shows on this tour were sold out.
Moreover, Aespa will continue the momentum of their tour with a 'Special Edition' concert at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on August 5-6, titled "Aespa Live Tour 2023 - SYNC: Hyper Line in Japan - Special Edition."
Aespa made their debut in South Korea with the digital single 'Black Mamba' in November 2020 and will be performing at the Tokyo Dome just two years and nine months later. This marks the shortest time for an overseas artist to enter the Tokyo Dome. According to Sankei Sports, the previous record-holder was Russian female duo "t.A.T.u," who entered the Tokyo Dome three years after their debut.
Meanwhile, Aespa will release their third mini-album "MY WORLD" on the 8th. Prior to the album's release, they will pre-release the track "Welcome To MY World." The song features an ethereal guitar riff and grand orchestration in the latter half, making it a standout alternative pop track. The group's ally from the Aespa universe, Nævis, is featured on the track.
