BLACKPINK Sets New Guinness Record as YouTube's Most-Viewed Music Channel
BLACKPINK has added their 21st Guinness World Record to their collection.
YG Entertainment announced on the 18th that BLACKPINK was officially registered in the Guinness World Records as the "YouTube Music Channel with the Most Views." On the 10th, the group surpassed 30.1 billion views on their official YouTube channel, overtaking pop star Justin Bieber as the artist with the most views on the platform.
It took approximately six years and nine months for BLACKPINK's official channel to achieve this milestone. As of the 18th, the channel has garnered over 30.3 billion views, with a total of 41 videos reaching 100 million views. In September 2021, they became the artist with the most subscribers worldwide, surpassing many prominent pop stars. With new subscribers continuously joining, they have now surpassed 86.9 million subscribers.
Previously, the group has been recognized for various achievements, including being the "first K-pop female artist to achieve the No. 1 album chart position in the UK and the US," "most-watched YouTube video in 24 hours," and "most-streamed artist on Spotify among girl groups worldwide." Additionally, the solo activities of members Rosé (2) and Lisa (5) have also been acknowledged.
