FNC Entertainment, the agency of K-pop band SF9, announced on January 5, via the official fan cafe ofthe group, that band member Dawon saw a patient, who was in the same sauna as him, get cardiac arrest. Following this, the singer did his best by administering first aid, which paramedics instructed to him over the phone.

After this incident, the singer will now go for a period of rest and therefore miss the upcoming season's greeting fan signing event of SF9.

FNC's full statement started with the announcement that Dawon would not participate in SF9's season's greeting fan event that was scheduled for today. The agency then narrated the full event by saying that on January 5, Dawon was bathing at the sauna where he goes regularly, and while there he saw a patient in cardiac arrest.

The singer then tried his best to administer emergy first aid, which paramedics instructed to him over the phone. After that, once paramedics arrived on the scene, the patient was handed over to them.

After detailed discussions with Dawon, the agency decided to cancel Dawon's scheduled activity for the day and gave him a day of rest. Regarding, Dawon's fan event that couldn't be proceeded on January 5, FNC will make another announcement through Wonderwall later.

The agency asked the fans for their understanding and knew that they would feel disappointed on this sudden news of his absence and shared that they would do their best so that Dawon can recover stability as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, SF9 is all set to make their comeback with "THE PIECE OF9" on January 9.

SF9, short for Sensational Feeling 9, ) is FNC's first dance boy group. It comprises nine members, including Youngbin, Chani, Yoo Taeyang, Dawon, Jaeyoon, Inseong, Zuho, Hwiyoung, and Rowoon.

The group made its debut on Otober 2, 2016 with the release of "Feeling Sensation", their first single album.

At the moment, the group is functioning as a seven member band, especially after Rowoon is going o be a part of the upcoming album. The other two members, namely Inseong and Youngbin, are currently completing their mandatory military services for the South Korean army. Inseong enlisted on March 21, 2022 and Youngbin enlisted on March 29, 2022.
