Dongyo Entertainment, the label of K-pop group DONGKIZ, announced that they took legal action against the school bullying rumors related to band member Jaechan.

The entertainment company released an official statement on the band's official fan cafe. The statement began by thanking DONGKIZ fans for always supporting them, before going on to say that they were writing to address the label's stance regarding the false rumors associated Jaechan, which were being circulated on numerous online communities.

According to Dongyo Entertainment, the claim being circulated was not true. The company confirmed that the accusations were false after interviewing both Jaechan himself as well as his acquaintances. The label had already verified with the school before the singer's debut as this was a grave matter in society.

The entertainment company also mentioned that at present, after taking legal actions, they were currently waiting on the results. Dongyo revealed they had been collecting evidence ever since the false post was published.

The label disclosed that they sued the initial accuser for defamation and spreading false information on March 4th, 2022. Furthermore, they were monitoring the other posts related to the same issue. Dongyo announced that the police took the case on March 14th and already embarked on the investigation. The label is now monitoring the legal procedure in real-time.

The company added that they will be continuing to take strict legal actions against false rumors regarding their artists and also asked netizens to not hesitate from dropping tips if they come across any malicious posts related to Dongyo's artists.

The label also asked everyone for their understanding as there was a delay in the official notice as Dongyo had to cooperate with the investigators.

Dongyo Label wrapped up the statement by firmly confirming the said rumors that were being spread were false. Moreover, they will not tolerate any act of stomping a blossoming flower behind anonymity in the future too.

Incidentally, the whole controversy of false rumors arose when Jaechan found himself being accused of severe school bullying on Twitter. A netizen had claimed that the singer used to bully female classmates since elementary school.

Not only that, but the rumor also mentioned that Jaechan used to antagonize other students with his gang of bullies and he also smoked in the classroom. Another netizen on Twitter also added to the claims by saying that there were many anecdotes to support his bad deeds.
