South Korean YouTuber Free Zia, whose real name is Song Ji Ah, had recently come under fire for wearing imitated and fake luxury items, which also caused a massive controversy.

Many netizens were angry because they believed that in this way the YouTuber had deceived her fans and followers. Free Zia had shared numerous photos featuring her wearing fake luxury items such as products from Dior and Chanel, none of which were the real deal.

Since the controversy, the influencer has deleted hundreds of images from her Instagram as well as removed numerous YouTube videos, which further shocked netizens as they got to know exactly how many fake items the YouTuber had been photographed in and then posted those on her social media accounts.

Now, Hyowon CNC, Free Zia's agency has released an apology saying that it is all their fault because it is the responsibility of the agency to check the creator's styling.

The company mentioned that they thought respecting the own styling of Free Zia was a way to communicate with the YouTuber's followers on a more intimate level, so they were not able to check.

Kim Hyo Jin, Hyowon CNC CEO, explained in a recently-held interview about the current situation of Free Zia and the reason she bought the fake items.

Kim Hyo Jin shared that the company did not know as well at first that Free Zia had basically bought fake items. The CEO added that she would feel less bad for the YouTuber if she tried to make the fake items look real with ill intentions.

The CEO shared that she had asked Free Zia where she purchased the fake products and the latter said she got them at street stalls because she found them pretty. Free Zia also said she would purchase them if she found them while browsing online.

The CEO further revealed that Free Zia was unaware that the fake items were imitated items. She disclosed that Free Zia purchased the majority of the items without knowing they were the luxury brand items' illegal imitations. Free Zia simply bought them because she found the items pretty and only later realized they were fake.

Kim Hyo Jin also added that Free Zia later found out that the items were fake, but she didn't intentionally try to live a wealthy life or look rich by just buying luxury items."

According to Kim Hyo Jin, now Free Zia is having a hard time and at the moment she is self-reflecting.
