South Korean multi-national all-girl group (G)I-DLE announced their highly-awaited summer comeback.

The fans of (G)I-DLE went nutty as a fruitcake upon seeing the poster. Per Allkpop, the newly released advertisement by (G)I-DLE’s official Twitter handle is the leading theme art for their upcoming album. The artwork depicts an ethnical style animation on sunlight and summer-full vibe showing drums and palm trees.
(G)I-DLE’s newest single entitled “DUMDi DUMDi” will be made available on August 3 at 6 P.M. KST, Hellokpop reported.
The fans of the all-girl K-pop ensemble reacted positively to their idol’s announcement, expecting the album to be as tropical and shiny as the released poster.
Before the confirmation of the band’s comeback, (G)I-DLE has been hinting the fans by posting animated video snippets of a slot machine that luckily hits the jackpot when the “DDDD” figures appeared. Check it out below.
In addition to (G)I-DLE’s upcoming “DUMDi DUMDi” single release, the K-pop band is also set to release a Japanese version of the said track on the same day. The report finds that the record will possibly be part of the band’s upcoming Japanese EP.
For starters, (G)I-DLE was formed in 2018 by Cube Entertainment. The girl group consists of Minnie, Miyeon, Soyeon, Soojin, Shuua, and Yuqi. The band released their debut extended play on May 2, 2018, titled ‘I Am’ with lead single ‘Latata.’
Following the band’s debut, (G)I-DLE then went to Japan to debut their single ‘Latata’ on July 31, 2019. In May this year, the girl group also released an English version of ‘Latata’ a day ahead before their global promotions started.
To date, the all-girl K-pop group named one of the most successful South Korean girl group to not be coming from the “big three” label records. Also, (G)I-DLE was labeled as South Korea’s “monster rookie.”
