'Monster Rookie' WEi Gears For First Comeback This February With 'IDENTITY: Challenge'
The six-member boy-group, WEi, which debuted in October last year, is now gearing for a comeback!
The group released their first mini-album, IDENTITY: First Sight, on October 5 at 6 p.m. KST along with the title track's music video.
PENTAGON's Hui and Flow Blow composed and wrote the lyrics for WEi's track TWILIGHT, and the leader of the group, Jang Dae Hyeon, also participated in writing the lyrics.
The pop track with alternative R&B elements aims for a happy ending to reach the brightest star shining in the twilight.
WEi Is Coming Back!
OUI Entertainment announced on February 7 that at 6 p.m. KST on the 24th, WEi would release their second mini-album IDENTITY: Challenge.
The upcoming album records the second act of the IDENTITY series. The forthcoming release gaps four months since their debut album IDENTITY: First Sight unveiled last October.
The WEi members demonstrated the passion of youth they created after becoming one in fate within the first album. The IDENTITY: Challenge album will illustrate the process of WEi overcoming difficulties to become united as one finally.
The Group's Album Teaser
Furthermore, by uploading a teaser image containing the album name and release date of IDENTITY: Challenge on their SNS channels, WEi officially confirmed their comeback.
The six members of WEi looking at the camera are seen in the image with shining visuals and charisma. As the members are seen with six microphones in front of them, questions arise about the group's concept in their upcoming album.
Moreover, WEi is expected to steal fans' hearts with even more upgraded music and performances in IDENTITY: Challenge. As noted from the start, the members already show a strong presence with their colorful group choreography and high-quality debut album.
Meanwhile, the second mini-album of WEi, IDENTITY: Challenge, will be available on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 24th. It is said to be filled with members' mature selves.
