Update: MAMAMOO, Jessi, Lee Seung Gi, TREASURE, IU, & TXT Join The '35th Golden Disc Awards' Lineup
Shortly a day after the first set of performers was announced by Golden Disc Awards, another batch was unveiled, adding more excitement for the event.
More artists revealed by Golden Disc Awards
Performances from K-pop artists will grace the 35th Golden Disc Awards. Alongside the first set of performers announced on December 29 (Tuesday), new names were announced today, highlighting the brightest performers of K-pop today.
With that said, the second artist lineup includes K-pop groups ITZY, ENHYPEN, TREASURE, Noel, LAPOEM, THE BOYZ, MAMAMOO, G(I)-DLE, LOONA, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, as reported by Soompi.
Finishing the second set of performers are solo artists Jessi, Park Ji Chan, Rain, Park Jin Young, IU, Lee Seung Gi, Lim Young Woong, and Changmo.
Actor-singer Lee Seung Gi will be hosting the first day ceremonies of the 35th Golden Disc Awards (digital song division), alongside actress Park So Dam. As mentioned above, he will also be appearing as a performer at the event.
Furthermore, Park Jin Young and Rain will be gracing the event with their newest duet titled Switch To Me, for the first time.
Performers and nominations
Allkpop shared some of the artists under the second list of performers are nominated for awards of the said ceremony.
Rookie boy groups ENHYPEN and TREASURE are crossing their swords for the rookie awards. MAMAMOO, ITZY, and IU are in full-swing in bagging the Bonsang for both the two divisions, the digital song and album divisions.
Moreover, Park Jin Young, Noel, Jessi, Im Young Woong, and Changmo are glazing to covet the Bonsang under the digital song division.
Big Hit Entertainment's TXT is nominated for the album division. Last year, the Blue Hour singers bagged the rookie award of the Golden Disc Awards.
Check out the 35th Golden Disc Awards this coming January 9, 2021, and January 10, 2021. The second day will be hosted by Sung Si Kyung and Lee Da Hee. The jTBC network will broadcast the event.
