D-CRUNCH's Hyunwoo officially announced his departure from the boy band, his managing label AI Grand Korea confirms.

On December 28, Monday, D-CRUNCH's Hyunwoo has officially announced his exit from the boy group following his back injury accident while gearing up for their comeback. The agency confirmed this shocking news and has released an official statement verifying and explaining the details behindHyunwoo's withdrawal from D-CRUNCH.

It was reported earlier this year that Hyunwoo had been put on hiatus due to his back injury while rehearsing for the upcoming comeback of the band that time to also focus on his health and recovery. To fans' shock, the label has announced his official exit from D-CRUNCH today.

In the letter, Hyunwoo's agency, AI Grand Korea, apologized to fans who had been supporting the group since its official debut for sharing such a piece of unfortunate news. The label confirmed his departure due to Hyunwoo's health issues, which greatly affects his performance as an idol.

Furthermore, the agency did recall when Hyunwoo was put on hiatus to get the time he needs to recuperate. However, the doctor has explained to Hyunwoon how his condition will hinder him from participating in D-CRUNCH's promotional activities.

That said, after a long discussion between the Hyunwoon, his family, and co-members, the young idol decided to withdraw from the band.

The decision was fully understood and acknowledged by AI GRAND KOREA as well as other D-CRUNCH members. From this day and forth, Hyunwoo will not be participating in any of the band's activities, and the agency wishes Hyunwoon nothing but full recovery and bright future endeavors.

Moreover, D-CRUNCH's agency still asked for the band's support despite Hyunwoo's withdrawal from the group.
