MBC's "Special Labor Inspector" earns the silver grant at the New York TV Festival!

"Special Labor Inspector" is a comedy-drama featuring Kim Dong Wook, Park Se Young, Kim Kyung Nam, and Ryu Deok Hwan, broadcast from April to May 2019. The story centers around with an instructor of Judo, who can not accept unfairness. (via KdramaStars)

Kim Dong Wook serves as a government worker and has been assigned to the Ministry of Jobs and Labor as a workplace inspector. Inspector Jo Jin-Gap (Kim Dong Wook) is a hard-working, trustworthy individual with a strong sense of righteousness.

Since attempting to lament and argue, he was once a national judo competitor, an unjust outcome of a competition he participated in. He ended his judo profession when he lost his cool at the chairman's son.

Inspector Jo reviews and examines unlawful and improper malpractice in applying the workplace conditions specified in the Labor Rights Acts in his line of duty.

He detains people in business and employers who exploit and provide abusive practices of labor. Inspector Jo wants to live a happy life after finishing his athletic career, but he never realized that he meets more mobsters and is battling injustice as a labor inspector.

Kim Dong Wook acquired 10 kg in his previous drama to perform the role and lead a more aggressive output than the typical shy type. Meanwhile, he received the 2019 Daesang Award for his performance in the MBC Drama Awards.

Moreover, he also won Best Actor at the 2019 14th International Drama Awards in Seoul. The film provides a realistic society tale in which Inspector Jo depicts gangsters by battling and defends business and labor exploitation.

The audience had the opportunity to connect and appreciate the drama with Kim Dong Wook and other actors' strong chemistry.
