Oh My Girl's YooA To Debut As A Solo Artist + Label Confirms
Oh My Girl's YooA is making a solo debut!
Newsen announced on August 25 that YooA is currently preparing to unleash a solo record in September. WM Entertainment also confirmed the news by releasing the statement, "Oh My Girl's YooA is finally making its solo comeback with a mini-album to be released on September 7." (via Soompi)
YooA will be the first member of the group to establish a solo career. Oh My Girl made their first appearance in April 2015, and most notably made a strong return in April with their track "Nonstop."
CAREER
Oh My Girl was promoted as the sister of the label-mate B1A4 group. Teaser portraits of the eight members and also their concept photos were announced on March 29, 2015. The band released their first extended play, Oh My Girl, on April 20, which included the "Cupid" hit. They presented the single first on April 21 on SBS MTV's The Show.
2020 VENTURES
On April 13, WM Entertainment announced that the band would return on April 27, with Jiho coming back from her break. Eventually, the band released a teaser revealing that their comeback would be a game-themed idea with their seventh EP Nonstop.
Moreover, on April 27, the EP and the video clip were unveiled for the title song "Nonstop." The single and the B-side hit "Dolphin" have been the band's top-charting launches to present, cresting at second and ninth simultaneously on the weekly Gaon Digital Chart.
As per the official Japanese site of Oh My Girl, after certain successes fulfilled on the LINE MUSIC app for three consecutive months, Oh My Girl will be producing something. The first launch was Nonstop's Japanese version and was published virtually on June 29, 2020, through various platforms.
Meanwhile, the second release, a Japanese track, Lemonade, was officially produced on July 27, 2020. The third release, Tear Rain, a Japanese single, was released exclusively on all digital music streaming platforms on August 24, 2020.
