Jungkook of BTS Sets New Record on U.S. Billboard 200 with Solo Album 'GOLDEN'
BTS member Jungkook has achieved yet another record on the U.S. Billboard charts.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on January 13th, Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' ranked 28th on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200', marking its 9th consecutive week on the chart. This makes 'GOLDEN' the longest-charting album by a K-pop solo artist in the history of the 'Billboard 200'.
The title track of the album, 'Standing Next to You', climbed 27 spots from the previous week to rank 70th on this week's 'Hot 100', maintaining its presence on the chart alongside the album for 9 weeks straight.
Additionally, Jungkook re-entered the 'Top 10' of the 'Global 200' and 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' charts, reaffirming his unwavering popularity. His solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' secured the 9th spot on the 'Global 200', while 'Seven' and 'Standing Next to You' rose in the rankings to 4th and 7th place respectively on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' chart.
V, another BTS member, made his entry into several charts with the collaborative track 'wherever u r (ft. V of BTS)', released on December 30th last year with American singer-songwriter UMI. The song ranked 5th on 'Digital Song Sales', 1st on 'R&B Digital Song Sales', 2nd on 'R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales', 64th on 'Global (Excl. U.S.)', and 99th on 'Global 200'.
Jimin's first solo album 'FACE' re-entered the 'World Album' chart at 12th place, and its title track 'Like Crazy' positioned itself at 74th on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' and 96th on the 'Global 200', continuing its streak for 41 weeks.
The song '00:00 (Zero O'Clock)' from BTS's 2020 album 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7' made a surprise re-entry at 4th place on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, drawing attention.
