Former Member Of LIMITLESS Yoon Hee Seok Reveals Conflicts With Co-Members And Label's CEO
The former member of LIMITLESS Yoon Hee Seok has finally opened up as to why he departed his band.
Yoon Hee Seok has taken to his Instagram profile this May to announce that he is departing LIMITLESS. Soon enough, his managing label ONO Entertainment said they still hadn't terminated their agreement with Yoon Hee Seok and could not reach him. Yoon Hee Seok posted on his Instagram account on August 10 to clarify what had occurred.
In his public letter, he asks the fans to bear with him as he is extremely unstable. Yoon Hee Seok revealed that he decided to share this truth after a year of suffering in mental anguish caused by his managing label CEO and co-members. He explained that even after the label merged with other business ventures and couldn't afford to provide them a practice room, the members voluntarily worked together to prepare for their debut.
Then in July 2019, LIMITLESS debuted in the K-pop industry, and the band eventually got additional two Chinese members. Hee Seok then found himself in isolation and suffered from verbal abuse and disagreements with his co-members. He stated that he tried reaching out and making amends with them but did not work out well.
Because of what happened, his mental health grew weak as he has no one to talk to about the situation. He added that he tried reaching out to the CEO numerous times to inform him of his mental struggles and issues, but overlooked him and advised him to tolerate the members as they are just being themselves.
Yoon Heseok exposed that it was December of 2019 when he formally told the CEO about his issues and his intentions to withdraw from LIMITLESS. The stress and the tension between him and his co-members grew more to the point that rehearsing for concerts was hard for them. After performing his last show with the band, the CEO blamed him for everything that transpired between him and the members.
"For me, the eight months had been like eternal damnation. I took medication to sleep at night and suffered from extreme depression, anxiety disorder, and panic disorder, and all I knew was that I wanted to die. I once attempted to commit suicide because of all these things. I couldn't begin to tell my family, so in tears, I notified the CEO that I had such a difficult time that I already tried suicide. The CEO did turn a deaf ear and paid less attention, however. I'm sorry that my parents had to know the truth through this post." (via Soompi)
That time, Heseok admitted posting about departing LIMITLESS. The CEO released a false press release statement saying that he wasn't able to reach him and told him his depression claims are fake, as anyone can get a depression medical certificate nowadays. Yoon Hee Seok concluded his letter by apologizing to his parents, who gave him never-ending love and support and to his fans who never left him alone despite his shortcomings as their idol.
