TWICE Expands Global Reach with Four More Mega Stadium Shows in Indonesia and Mexico
TWICE is set to ascend as a 'Global Stadium Headliner' with the addition of four mega stadium concerts.
At midnight on August 29 (KST), JYP Entertainment revealed through their official social media channels the third phase poster for TWICE's fifth world tour, 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE''. According to the announcement, TWICE will be extending their massive world tour, which already spans 25 cities with 42 performances, by adding shows in Melbourne, Australia on November 4th, Jakarta, Indonesia on December 23rd, Mexico City, Mexico on February 3rd, 2024, and São Paulo, Brazil on February 6th.
Notably, all four concerts will be held in major stadiums: MARVEL STADIUM in Melbourne, JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL STADIUM in Jakarta, FORO SOL in Mexico City, and ALLIANZ PARQUE in São Paulo. These venues promise to offer fans a double treat of visual and auditory delights.
Previously, TWICE made history in May this year as the first K-pop girl group to perform in Japanese stadiums, holding concerts at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. They also drew an audience of 50,000 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, one of the largest stadiums in the U.S., and sold out their show at MetLife Stadium in New York, solidifying their status as stadium artists. Starting their North American tour in Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium last June, they continued through Oakland, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Toronto in July, New York, and Atlanta, attracting a record 250,000 fans in total.
With a cumulative audience of approximately 700,000 so far, TWICE is on the brink of surpassing a million attendees. There's growing anticipation for the record they'll set with their world tour, which includes previously announced performances in Nagoya and Fukuoka in December.
In April, TWICE kicked off their fifth world tour, 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE'', in Seoul. They've since shared precious memories with ONCEs (their fandom) in various international cities including Australia, Japan, and North America. Their fiery tour schedule continues with performances in Singapore on September 2nd and 3rd, London on the 7th and 8th, Paris on the 11th, Berlin on the 13th and 14th, Bangkok on the 23rd and 24th, Bulacan in the Philippines on the 30th and October 1st, Melbourne on November 4th, Nagoya on the 16th and 17th, Jakarta on the 23rd, Fukuoka on the 27th and 28th, Mexico City in February 2024, and São Paulo on the 6th.
