Singer Lim Young-woong has celebrated his 7th year since debut.
Having debuted on August 8, 2016, Lim Young-woong rose from obscurity to stardom in 2020, capturing hearts with his exceptional vocal prowess, stage presence, and charm, especially after clinching the title on TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot'.
Ever since gaining recognition as the winner of 'Mr. Trot', Lim Young-woong has set impressive records in just about three years. He officially boasts 76 trophies and has repeatedly claimed the top spot on various music shows.
On May 2, 2022, Lim Young-woong's debut studio album 'IM HERO' was released, achieving a staggering first-day sales record of 940,000 copies. Its initial sales skyrocketed to 1.14 million, crowning him a "million-seller." Numerous tracks from the album have also dominated top spots on various music charts.
Nationwide, Lim Young-woong embarked on a concert tour spanning 101 days across 7 cities, delivering 21 performances and drawing in a total of 170,000 attendees. He also showcased his global popularity by hosting a solo concert at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA.
Moreover, the concert-film 'IM HERO THE FINAL' surpassed an accumulated audience of 250,000.
His YouTube channel currently boasts over 1.53 million subscribers, charging toward a cumulative 2 billion views, and features an impressive 68 videos with over 10 million views each.
In collaboration with his agency, Mulgogi Music, Lim Young-woong has generously donated a total of 1.2 billion won (approx. $1 million) to support the underprivileged, amplifying his positive influence. His fan club, "Young-woong Era," has also garnered attention by actively participating in various volunteer and donation activities in line with Lim Young-woong's philanthropic vision.
