NCT's Expansion Continues: SM Entertainment's First Survival Show Approaching
SM Entertainment is bringing its first-ever survival show.
The teaser for the pre-debut reality show 'NCT Universe: LASTART', leading to the selection and formation of the new NCT team, was released through their official YouTube channel on July 19.
The trailer, featuring the elite trainees selected from global auditions, depicts the intense training process of the trainees aiming to join the new NCT team. SM artists including Changmin, Donghae, Hyoyeon, Taemin, Xiumin, and Taeyong have also made appearances in support of these trainees.
In particular, some thoughts from the artist directors, who will be involved with this project from start to finish, were shared after they saw the trainees' performances. BoA, Eunhyuk, and Jang Jin-young gave sharp yet cool-headed assessments, encouraging the trainees to keep pushing forward without settling. The 10 trainees also vowed, "We will prepare as if our lives depend on it, so we can show you everything without losing to anyone."
The pre-debut reality show 'NCT Universe: LASTART', which premieres on the 27th, introduces one of the three new rookie teams mentioned in the 'SM 3.0: NEW IP 2023' video, which is a new team of NCT.
From the 10th to the 14th, a total of 10 trainees including Riku, Ryo, Haruta, Kassho, Jungmin, Anderson, Minjae, Ryu, Heitetsu, and Sakuya, who will appear in 'NCT Universe: LASTART', were revealed over a span of five days, creating a buzz.
Meanwhile, the first broadcast of 'NCT Universe: LASTART' on the 27th can be viewed through Japan's Hulu and Nihon TV channels, KOCOWA+ (wavve Americas) for North, Central and South America, and South Korea's ENA Channel and Tving. (Photo=SM Entertainment)
