BTS's Jimin Dominates U.S. Bestselling Download Charts, Climbs High on Billboard With 'Like Crazy'
BTS member Jimin has continued his unprecedented run on the Billboard charts for the 15th week in a row in the first half of 2023, powered by his hit track "Like Crazy."
According to Charts Data, Jimin's "Like Crazy" logged an impressive 289,000 downloads, ranking it among the bestselling downloads in the U.S. for the first half of 2023.
This achievement places Jimin second only to Miley Cyrus's "Flowers," outshining prominent pop stars like Morgan Wallen and Beyoncé. Among Asian artists on the top 10, Jimin stands alone, representing both solo and group acts.
"Like Crazy" was one of only three songs to debut at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. On the World Digital Song Sales chart, it climbed to 7th place, setting a record for 11 consecutive weeks on the chart, including a historic four-time number one hit for a Korean solo track in the past decade. This proves Jimin as the most successful K-pop solo artist this year.
With the best sales in the history of Korean solo artists, the track debuted at number 2 on the Global 200 chart, ranking 40 this week, a five-step rise from the previous week. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, it climbed nine places to number 24, securing the highest rank for a Korean solo artist for the 15th consecutive week in both categories.
The album FACE, which includes "Like Crazy," secured the 11th spot on the World Album chart this week, recording its place on the chart for the 15th consecutive week. The album also maintains long-term positions on the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts at 82 and 47, respectively.
In addition, "Angel Pt. 1," a track from the Fast & Furious 10 OST, which Jimin participated in, ranked 35th on the Pop Airplay chart, making it onto the chart for the 5th consecutive week. It also continued its chart presence for the 7th consecutive week on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, ranking 72nd and 51st respectively.
Despite the lack of large-scale collaborations or major radio promotions, Jimin has achieved an unprecedented feat by reaching the top of the Hot 100 with genuine music that tells his story. He continues to blaze a trail as a pioneering Korean solo artist, creating history with each step.
