BTS Jimin Sweeps Global Charts with 'Furious 10' OST 'Angel Pt.1'
BTS' Jimin is on a roll on various global platforms with "Angel Pt.1".
Jimin, the first Korean singer to participate in a Hollywood movie, debuted at number 23 on the 'Top Songs Global' chart on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, with just 12 hours of tracking following the release of 'Angel Pt.1', the main theme song of "Fast and Furious: Ride or Die" on the 18th.
The next day, on the 19th, his song topped the Spotify charts in 47 countries worldwide, including South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand, marking a smooth journey of popularity. On the 'Top Songs Debut' chart, the trailer version, which caused a stir even before the official release of the song, debuted at number 8, while the official version debuted at number 2 on the global chart and number 5 on the U.S. chart.
The popularity of 'Angel Pt.1' was also evident in South Korea, topping the daily chart for eight consecutive days and the weekly chart on Spotify. On Shazam, the global music search site, it recorded 100,000 searches on the 23rd and rose to number 1 on the 'South Korea Top 200' chart.
In this week's 'Circle Chart', 'Angel Pt.1' showed its power by climbing to number 4 on the 'Weekly Download Chart' with just 2 days and 3 hours of tracking, while three tracks, including the single version and the trailer version, simultaneously charted. The song also shot up the chart signal by landing at number 6 on the 'BGM Chart', number 13 on the 'Social Chart 2.0', and number 88 on the 'Digital Chart' with 4,344,078 digital points.
On Amazon U.S., 'Angel Pt.1' has stirred up a storm, with the Sped Up version topping both the 'Best Selling Digital Songs' and 'Best Selling New Releases' categories on the 25th. The Explicit version came in second, and 'Angel Pt.1' ranked third, sweeping the first, second, and third spots on two Amazon charts.
The official music video for 'Angel Pt.1' has been number 1 on YouTube's 'Worldwide Trending' for three consecutive days and is receiving explosive responses, including remaining in the top 2 for six days in the 'Music Category'.
Meanwhile, Jimin has become the only artist in the world to top the iTunes Top Songs chart in 100 countries with four songs this year, as 'Angel Pt.1' broke through to number 1 in just four days after its release, following 'Like Crazy' (117 countries), 'Set Me Free Pt.2' (113 countries), and a collaborative song with Taeyang, 'VIBE' (102 countries).
